World Cup 2018

Postby DMG_Kowi » Sat Jun 16, 2018 14:11

How come there's not yet any topic about Russia 2018?

So here it goes.

Ofc, I'm hoping for Poland to go as far as possible. But clear favourites are Germany and Brazil, and maybe Argentina, France, Spain if things go well for them.

Good matches so far.

Belgium will win the World Cup! Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne and Dries Mertens will make us champion!

Obviously, better odds for France:
- objectively better team all-round
- Croatia more tired after 3x overtime and one day less of rest

Finally, France won , but Hrvatska (Croatie) as we say in french, made me sweat and anguish.

I want to talk about the croatian president ( Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović) : She seems to be an excellent person she's so class! . was under the rain with Macron while Putine was under umbrella

here's a link from the background: https://www.huffingtonpost.fr/2018/07/15/la-france-est-championne-du-monde-emmanuel-macron-etait-dechaine-dans-le-vestiaire-des-bleus_a_23482554/ look at the video.

I love her!

I'm glad that so many goals happened in this final, however few of them out of nothing. Unlike overtimes/penalties 4, 8 and 12 years ago.
The best team overall won, but there were other that played good football: Belgium, Croatia, Brazil. Play-off ladder could have been more even. We had some huge upsets (Germany, Argentina, Spain) and some teams performed above expectations.
Good tournament overall and great success with VAR.
