Heyo, guys I have a question, coz im gonna to buy new PC, i dont know which trade-mark of RAM is the best. Most ppl say - "Kingston" but its too expensive and i wanna take DDR2 2048 in dual channel (2x 1024), thx for reply:)

Heres good, cheap and reliable choise, btw, kingston isnt best, just overrated :wink:

Id go with those what I put, but give your budget and I can choose better if your budget allows that

For me :
1.Corsair: best timing, very long life , 10 years waranty, ram cooler system (for me certainly the best but more expensive)
2: OXC : good timing
3: Kingston: good price/good quality

samsung Rams r already good but after those i noticed.

Damn i know kingston is good... but price of kingstoon memory is very high.. DAmn 2x 1GB is bout 1000 zl its 1/4 of my pc so its bit much ..

I said: buy OCZ. 667mhz, I try to find something for you. Do you overclock your PC? If OCZ will start being medium-end, you can try to overclock it. OCZ have very good timings, but if you're looking for CHEAP, MEDIUM-END RAMs, take "Kingmax". From 553mhz i've got something about 750! For me it is very good, cause i don't care about high-end systems for 4000zł (1000$), when i can buy medium-end and overclock it. Who cares about his processor, it lives 5 or 7 years? Nobody i think, because after max 4 years you buy new PC.

Are you working on Athlon 64 (or dual core Athlon) or Core2Duo? Pentium? If you use Athlon, Kingmax is very good choice! You can lower the timings and you can have much better results (especially on AM2 socket, timings here are very important, lower = much better, no mhz makes the differents), BUT, if you have Core2Duo or Pentium, it's better to choose other memory. But, if you overclock it on Pentium/C2D f.e. you can use 2:1 or 3:1 (like my friend uses) and it's ok.

Yeah, kingston is overpriced, theres no much difference between rams if they work in same mhz.. Just take one, reliable brand with 800mhz if you overclock it, lower can do if you dont OC.. 800mhz because of processors multipliers, if you want overclock I can tell more.. If you save like 100 dollars in ram, theres SO MUCH better places to spend that money than RAM. Theres no point to chance timings on your ram, you can get max 3-4fps more, but it cancels your warranty, cant see point in there, but if you OC your processor theres more point..
