People gone crazy ?!

Today some people gone crazy on PS#1. I dont know what it was but everbody disobeyed the rules and was cursing and swearing to PS. We banned a regular player who normally is ok (reaper was the name). We talked to him what is wrong but he had a hot temperature i think. We decided to ban him because all other players began to curse and swear. He was an bad example for the rest.
Still dont know what was up with that person and others... looked liked the infected eachother. Gladly there were enough ps members (demin, undead and me) around to cool down the server. Maybe we have to be harder in the future cause i hear a lot that we are too polite
But being polite is maybe also were ps is standing for and make the server good.

indeed wens u saw a part of the conflict but it was already on for several min before that. I did not understand he connected and the first thing he did was insult guardian (he's my brother) then he began talking dutch (sevral warnings) so other players start talking dutch. then he began namecalling an we muted him several times then we kicked him just to let him no we ment bisness then he came back and insulted some more.
(then wens came) i'm really sick off it but what can i do if regular players start to go out of line. after the ban (666 sec) he began insulting some more. Even other players were telling him that his behaviour was not good.
whit sato we had some minour problems but he behaved afterwards
everybody can have a bad day but please stay in bed if u only want to insult
hope i never have to experience anything like this again.
I'm always very calm but this was beginning to f*ck up my day

ive got a hint for the next time you encounter something like this: think of me => What would Joky do!?
- a real regular => talk first to get him to behave, no respons or if he begins to call names => mute/kick/gethisattention and resume in pm, still doesnt behave => ban (regulars have the status cause they know the rules... if they dont follow them, be HARSH. There always is a forum waiting here do discuss the matters)
- a new regular => talk->no respons/change of behaviour -> kick if it comes back and misbehaves again => ban
- a noob => try to talk or get his/hers attention by gibbing/slapping/burning/etc etc. then explain the rule he/she was offending. If you dont get his/hers attention or when they keep offending or when they start yelling => kick/ban (depends on the case) If they come back for more misbehaving, give m more banning.
and for if you cant ban/kick/ w/e, there are lots of other commands to make someones game miserable... use those or try n find a higher admin
heu, what i just wrote down... DONT take this as THE guideline. This is just what i try to do occasionally i think.... maybe... something like this...
As long as you dont overreact and/or punish for silly things your way of adminning prolly is right. Every one s got there own style.
