Server disconnection...

Hey all! I'm new here. My friends play this also. When I want to play on them servers i cant come in. It says: The server or you run a older version of the game.

But I have Wolfenstein E.T. for 2/3 days.

What can I do?

I hope you can help me.

For Non ETPro mods that isnt really needed unless the server runs version specific punkbuster md5 checks.
You would be amazed how much people on our servers still use 2.60

I have install the Patch 2.60 and 2.60b

But i get the same thing.

It says that I or the Server are incomplete. And that I of the server an older version have.

There is only a 2.60b like Spyhawk already mentioned earlier in this topic.

Are you sure you have installed everything correctly?
Get 2.60b here; http://www.prime-squadron.com/final/dow ... -2.60b.zip

Unzip it and only place the 2 files from the win32 folder (if you use Windows) into your ET installation folder.

If you still get an error, make a screenshot and post it here, otherwise we can only guess

- Start up ET (without connecting to a server)
- Bring down the console (with ~ )
- In the bottom right corner of the console it should say either; ET 2.60 or ET 2.60b

If not than you might have done something wrong while installing the patches.

Hmm strange, and how do you connect to the server?
Try the console; /connect 213.239.219.249:27960

- Can you play at other servers at all? When you use 'Play Online' for example?
- Little off but; have you enabled punkbuster?

Hmm didnt you play on PS #2 a few days ago?

Anyway are you sure your console shows you this when you start ET.exe;

A 2nd thing;
- Is there a 'noquarter' folder located within your ET installation folder?

Yeah I play on PS #2. On that server I can play good.

And my console shows exactly what you said. Exaxtly the same what you have let seen me here.

And there is a folder in my ET installation of 'noquarter'

Hmmm, thats very strange :wth:

So patches seem to be okay, and you can even play on PS2

PS1 and PS2 are identical (ET & NQ version wise), only difference is that PS1 is hosted at another server.

Are you able to open this page; http://213.239.219.249/ ?

Well it was just a check to see if you were able to connect to that server at all.

I really have no idea why you cant connect to PS1

Perhaps you could try;
- start ET
- go to 'Mods' and load no quarter
- connect to ps1: /connect 213.239.219.249:27960

No that wasn't what I mean.

I can play on Ps #1 and Ps #2. I play there.

But when I want to play with my friend, on another server it can't

that server is 82.192.78.85:27960

On that server I cant play

About that other server, i see they run; ET 2.55 linux-i386 May 27 2003
a very old, unpatched and potentially unsafe version. Because your ET is patched to 2.60b you are unable to play at servers running an older version, like 2.55.

If you want to play there you need an unpatched ET. But please visit their website as it hasnt got a lot to do with our servers

P.s I would recommend to ditch that server and play on 2.60 servers only.

Im not gonna play on them server. Its not good and older and unsafe you said, so i dont gonna play there.

I tell my friends that they come to the server where I always play PS #2 :lol:

They have installt patches and the now playing on PS #2
