Stole my name!!

Hey fellas
someone stole my name PrimitivE
i have it registered on SL
so i thought its my name
but a few minutes ago i saw
my name-color changed in the SL-menu
now its simply grey instead of white and black
and i never played on an mexican server!
what can i do?
this really sux.......

There isnt much you can do, wait for that player to stop using your name or think of something else.

1)Whats the problem ?!
2)Its normal, cuz ur name is not unique.
3)There are other ppl with the name "Primitive"
4)Reserver ur name and u dont have to give a shit.
5)Maybe write smth about that in SL forums, but i dont know what.
6)Think other unique name.
7)Ofcourse u will see name stealers.If u think name like Cat; Dog or smth, ofcourse someone will have it the same.

And i really dont see whats the problem :roll:

yeah thank ya but i reserved that name you know!!
it is in my userbox in sl-menu with one other.
so thats why i did that post.
when im registered on sl and reserve a name how can it be
that such a bull***t happens? :?:

xD Reserving a name on sl doesnt make it yours @all et servers. Anyone who wants can use "Primitive" as his name. Reserve another name like "-Pr|m|t|ve-".

If youve been using just a simple "primitive", you dont need to wonder why someone else is using it too...

Yeah, there was also a person with same name than mine when I was at highschool. That sucked hard, but I got over it quite fast tho.

You want reserve your nick? It's simple. Go to evenbalance and pay them for name registration:

But that has nothing to do with SL

Splatterladder offers some cool features but their name registration is just very limited. Not linked to your etkey, not linked to your pbguid, not even linked to your IP. Simply linked to your ingame nickname (+ colour codes).

So its pretty easy to impersonate anyone at SL, thats why you shouldnt use SL as solid 'evidence' when reviewing someones playing history.
