Error help.

Hey,
I have an friend who wanted me to post this:

As soon as i try to connect to PS 5 or 6 (i have only tried them)
The game kicks me back to main menu and says this:

ERROR:
Game code (ui_mp_x86.dll) failed pure Server check.

any ideas?

Did he install the available patches? At least 2.60 (2.60b is optional)

I had this error too. Reason: ET couldnt run with Vista without configurating the settings.

If you are running it on Vista you could set ET.exe to run as an administrator.
Don't know if it's the best solution but at least it will work.

Steps:
Right Mouse on ET.exe -> Compatibility -> Run this program as an administrator
