Rulebreaking -READ IT-

After both of ichi and I, and also some other admins, were undercover on PS2, it appears to us that more and more of our regulars (I mean level 4 and +) are rulebreaking when they don't see any admins online.

By rulebreaking I mean : speaking other languages than english (++++), insulting and global bad behaviour (+++), sk/intentionnal tk (++), etc...

Just to let you guys know that this has to change quick !!!! The worst is that I noticed that only regulars are actually rulebreaking... Sad imo. We put some good efforts in rules communication (cf. rulebook translated in 8 languages) but it seems that it doesn't work.

So our final decision is :

- from now, we'll be online only undercover with no levels (no need to do !listplayers trying to recognize us)
- logs will be checked carefully each days
- every regulars caught rulebreaking will be demoted (his admin level will be lowered)

Really sad that we have to come to such straits if you ask me, cause when we take PS2 from Nemesis and Alloomma we never thought that this kind of situation would ever happen. Maybe you'll find this hard and we strongly regret it but things have to change NOW before it becomes worser. Prolly we were to weak with all of you... Time to change now.

Yes, im sometimes at ps2 (when i think) thers no admin lot of rulebreak

I REALLY DONT SAY i dont rulebreak, i know it. if i dont see players im a bit more free in playing, still trying following rules. (slime slime

, in dutch : slijm slijm, if someone can translate what i mean. kidding

)

Thx souly for this post and i will also take this chance to do same announcment as long as i noticed same think in PS1 and PS3. From my part i already do and i will simply demote one level each time i catched a regular breakin rules or have a bad behaviour + usual punishment if there is a need (and don t come with the excuse that u didn t have a warn cause i will just laugh). My goal is realy clear : demote those who got levels and realy don t deserve it. We don t need players who show a good face when we are in servers and totaly change when they don t see PS flagz around, we need adult and mature players who will add somethin on our community and could also be a helpful hand for admins. From my side, it s pretty clear, i will never accept those who break our rules to become one day a part of this community and f ucked up our reputation and all works we did to allow PS becomin what it is today.

We can be less watchful with new players and those who don t have enough experience in our servers, but regular players and more specialy those with some levels (more than 3) have just no excuse. So as Souly said, me and other admins will try also to be undercover in all PS servers, it wont be any warn and this kind of think from my part, i will just take names and will change levels and more if there is a need. You have to know that the time you spend in our servers is not the only think we watch to make you a member, we also and specialy check how you act in servers and your behaviour with other players, don t forget it.

Hope this little warn will be enough and we won t have a need to realy do what we said.

good idea...especially if player dont react to warns or some like that! or only react if they get a warn though they know that they are doing wrong!

Hehe thx bowy for this good add, I wouldn't have say it better. Got exactly the same feeling for now.

Its not funny to play with so much rulbreakers.

i think its the right way, ps2 is my home but its not funny the last time with all the spam and insult. namechanger , disconn and conn for stats is not funny all time.
so nobady can play.
i even team all time, and 2 min later i must join the other team.
so nobady can play.
pls bring back the realy good ps2 server

with the rulbreak is not only a ps2 prob. look on @ll server.

pls do it, all time.......

totaly agree with you all.

the thing that there are more lvl 4+ are rulebreaking is just the fact that admin pionts are giving away like candy (in compare with 2006) if you ask me :oops:

. but that may not the reason why they are rulebreaking though

had a watch with bigrat(in disguise;) today on PS3 for several maps. It defenetly worked out as far as players didnt recognize him as a PS Member.

for permanent rulebraking I think should be a 12/+++ hour ban or so...people who really like PS servers will be very careful to break rules. I often read about consequences but there are actually only total bans or just "we keep an eye on him".

Just a ban for several hours and the player will learn the lesson. thats what i think. starting with several times not saying sry after TKs up to bad as* rule breaks.

You dont have to forget that there are lots of under aged people in here and this punishment should be like online-education in social responsibility to them!

I have seen many rulebreakers and i just say many times to follow rules but no they just continue rulebreaking like speaking other language :/. But hope so u do good job Souly :wink:

An admin going undercover, shouldn't be recognized by anyone, he should even said it to you;)

or else the end result could be twisted;)

admins, you should start emule or any other upload-thing when you do your undercover-actions or everyone will know that a guy with ping of 3 is an admin :wink:

Beein an admin don t mean automaticaly havin a good and low ping

, it just depend on ur connection, ur config etc ..., and any one can have same, specialy with usin /cl_timenudge

. Beein an admin don t give you any advantage in ping stories.

Today i was playing in PS 2 and i was irritating my balls off!!! Lots of people were rule breaking and ESSPECIALLY REGULARS!!! The funny part is that there even was an admin playing aswell, but he didnt do anything about it (ZIppo). No warning, nothing! No offense, but that cant be right..

Well, when I played before there many rulebreakers while there aren't any admins...I even can give names, but I won't.The most frequently rulebreaking were Sk, talking on other language in mainchat and abusing...Well, sometimes (very often) I was abusing, but never SK or smth.Soul's idea is very good.Rollin was making the same thing and he caught many rulebreakers.I hope Soul's idea work

OK... Thx Nooth for these screenies... You acted good as every regulars should act in fact : helping us to keep the server clean. Even if I really don't like players denounciate other players, I can do nothing more but to thank you Nooth.

About rulebreakers from screenies : nice to see that it's mainly Candidates who rulebreak... :evil:

Mesures will be taken as soon as I come back home... And prolly I'll open a discussion about these rulebreakers-Candidates who don't deserve the candidate status anymore, in my opinion.
