Right to put inactive players to spec

Hi admins,

I am so often on the server and there is no PS-Member nor another user that can put inactive users to spec. I can !sec999 but nothing else.
It is very anoing if in a team are 4 players (inactive for hours) and other team has 4 active players. So no one from other team can join because its filled with the 2 inactives. So thy play and mostof the players do spwankills to the inactive ones.

Thats no fun and its more effective to give the right to put players to spec to some users instead of trying to punish the spawnkillers (this is a lot of work and can solve only one partof the described problem)

ofc iam not a admin, but i will reply, :oops:

it is a a big problem this inactiv players, but what you mean will start when "no admin" can player put to spec? :roll:

it is not a good idea,
i think its a better idea to do it with voting?!
to time voting is off on ps server, but it is more easy to handel it for all player. or not?

and you can shuffel with votes and more.

the biggest problem with votes is spam i think.

is only a littel suggestion.

sorry nq dont give the chance to allow putspec -vote...

as command there is only putteam. on new lvl system at ps5 available for lvl 8 member, but too powerful for players because u can put everyone everywhere....

so at last there is the chance of g_inactivity.

ppl on ps1 suggest it as well, but what i heard it is bugged and kicks inactive player after a setted period without putting one spec before..

i can try it out anyway but im sure there will be few complains about it..

will check more if back at home next days.....

If it's such a big problem get xfire and contact the admins. I have atleast 2 admins 24/7 online on my contact list =)

We'll 100 % not give the !putteam command to players.

i think if you give the !put team command to more people people will abuse it. So best is to let it be like it is but maybe more admins need to come to ps5

(not every1 uses xfire :d)

I agree with Ammz cuz then every1 will use it -.- (i think) but that time is the key ur just have to w8 that day when u know rules then they can maybe get that command... when u are lvl 8 (im stupid xD)

I think this is a great idea!
Maybe use a big timeout of 3 minutes or so.
If a player is inactive for more then a few minutes its the best to kick him because players should lern to go to spec (this are 1keypress and 1 klick) if they go away from keyboard. They should be kicked but not banned or so!

I dont like it to quit the game, disturbish admins and reenter the game (i Am using my Mac and there is no posibility to write to xfire ingame). And The second display is not supported by ET (it would be great to have a view of stats, the players map etc on the second screen ;-)

Thaths good! My opinion was to give the right only to a few ones that are often on the server. But then is the question who sould have this rights etc. I think g_inactivity is a good way!

Well then 1.Press alt + enter 2. Download dynowatch and use the /etmin command 3. Just download a etmin program

I suggest that you shouldn't give anyone !putteam command unless he is a PS member

Juse let the things as they are now. If there are some inactive players someone is calling an admin who is putting them to spectator.

Players should at first think about fair game, than maybe some levels, commands and other stuff. For example: The best game for me is the game where teams are fair -> this can be shown as a simmilar team results when you press [TAB].

@Bier:
If you will be polite with players and admins and you will make game fair, then I'm sure that Sebbel will reward you with some lvl and maybe in the future PS membership ^^

it seems unfortunately g_inactivity only works on full servers, so no chance atm to use it making "more fair teams"

got to appeal to every player to go spec yourself if afk for a moment :/

I am polite with all players and my goal is not to have a high level. My goal is to have fair teams and no inactives IN teams. I hate it if one goes to toilet without going to spec. And then there are other unfair players wich kill such players etc...

Well. My goal is same. But nobody is listening when i yell "Even the teams" or something like that. Ppl thinks if there is same amount of players in both teams than it is fair. And it's not always, because ppl in one team for example cannot go out of their spawn without beeing killed.

Other ppl think that XP shows how good player is. It's false!

Players are helping loosing team only when Sebbel joins game to show how good they are and to get level -.-' They wont help loosing team without any reward.

HAHAHAH leo you're so insanely right! No doubt about that.

The only thing to do is a !shuffle (remember that !shuffle shuffles the teams according to the amount of xp. So both team have the same total xp. You're not so right about xp. The more xp you have the bigger chance there is that you know the map and have a lot of experience in how to win it. Which class you should be to help your team etc. etc. XP doesn't prove you have a good aim, but proves that you've experience in the game.)

BTW you're totally offtopic and we should get this locked up!

as long as g_inactivity dont work on medium filled server u got to wait for admin.. and / or tell people to be smart enough to go spec befor going away... think most of u know whats the business when going to toilet.. if it takes more time or not
