ETkey->Lost

I reinstalled windows and i saved my etkey but it doesnt work and i have tryed reconnecting. I really want my 6 lvls and 230k xp back

so plz help!

it doesnt work to save your etkey and just put it back in etmain after reinstall sounds strange.

but to the topic now. about your xp we cant do anything it will be lost then. for your levels normal contact the server owner that they can have a look in the shrub what level you had and they will set you back. because i dont think you had on all servers the same level

What should I say... Is thare any way to save ETKey??

I dunno if i wont reinstall my windows in the future and i want to save my settings

btw getting XP from 0 and reaching class levels is most fun besides killing enemys :twisted:

i dont really care that much about my xp cuz it was only like 3 months job.
but i sended pm to warren coz he should be able to look into shrub.

i saved whole etmain folder and replaced it with an freshly installed etmain folder. so maybe i should`ve only copied that etkey, dont know really what i was doing wrong.

and my lvls were only in ps#4

no clue if thats maybe the problem but you can try it again (reinstall ET dont need so long) and replace only your old ETkey and not the complete folder.

I want to help you, but the only one idea i have was already posted by Ziel...
If there is a need, im confirmed that Hunter was lvl 6, and about 230k exp at ps#4.

i know what to do go to etmain folder in wolf folder delete etkey that is there then put the on with levels on and xp and it should work i have done this loads of times before

its so easy:

c:/program files/Wolfenstein enemy terriroty/ etmain/ etkey copy it to another map like : documents...

delete EVERYTHING meaning get the whole data gone...

then reinstall ET and paste the etkey u saved in etmain, it will ask if u want to overwrite an file, say yes and ur done......

well i over wrote all the things that where in that folder, all .dll`s and stuff.
i think that was my problem but not sure coz im not an "windows scientist".

and i dont have my original etkey anymore

so... i cant try anything else.
btw i changed my name too with that loss, its: +HUNTER+

Yo hunt one question Dont you have older folder or et key? You see i copy for time to time et folder and in the same time on one cd i have old et key. I try copy new and this old and above working very good. Maybe this will be some solution of Your problem

wel maybe there is an solution:

did u saved that whole folder whitch u interely replaced in you ET folder still existing in another map??

if so just reinstall and takeout the etkey and only put that 1 in....

if not:

u said thay u replaced intrire folder meaning that ur old etkey is in it 2

save it reinstall and COPY ONLY THAT 1 to the new etfolder...
