Load problems

I got problems when i am connecting PS#3 it says its downloading a map than my ET stops and i come on a site that has all maps... I know what you gona say... "Go to Noquarter map and download the map file" But i use apple and when i download this map it comes into a .zip......

.zip is a file that you need to unpack before you can use it. Well when i unpack it i only get sounds and other useless stuff but i don't get the .pk3
This is very anoying and i can't play if it keeps coming in .zip

Please fix this problem and let it download automaticly when you loading the game like it always was.

In fact .pk3 is .zip so maybe you shold try to rename this file to filename.pk3? If it doesn't work try something like winrar (if there is one for apple) and unzip it and zip again but with .pk3 instead of .zip. I hope this helped even a bit

But my brother already asked me to try that but it did not work it is still .zip file without the .zip

mh maybe ca you try if you can extract the shita dn then select them all and put them in an zip archiv that archiv do you give the name that is written ob website

Do you mean like renaming it to .pk3?
If you do than i got to say i already tried that before and it already comes like this: "Supplydepot_2.pk3.zip" i remove the .zip and nothing changes when i keep it .zip and i do it in NQ map it doesnt work. I really need the normal .pk3 file.

Well I remember that my bro Juventusjiro had the same problem on PS#5 he reported it to Sebbel and Sebbel did something and the problem was solved. Maybe you can ask sebbel what to do. I don't know what to do anymore i downloaded MLB Map Pack and placed into Etmain folder like they said in the README file that was placed into map pack folder. and i tried to connect and AGAIN my ET shut down and linked me to a site with the maps.
and MLB_Hotchkiss was playing... Bit wierd downloaded MLB map back and still doesnt load it? And it was in the map pack because i watched what was in the map back on the download page. I am totally confused now and almost all maps PS#3 has this problem...

And 1 more thing i got Cathedral_Final.pk3 in my etmain folder and it doesnt load Cathedral on PS#3 to... I actually don't think that it is my ET. I think there is something wrong with the server. Well that is what i think.

i think u should use windows (less problems, like u had with xfire). If u unpack a file that contains a map, then there shouldnt be any sound files. So maybe u downloaded wrong thing. if u wanna see what is inside that .zip then open it, and if u see some .pk3 file, then extract that one. This has to work, at least on windows it does. And if u think that this is not ur problem but server then i think there would be much more complains and stuff about it in here.

I guess it not wrong site i got connected to a site automaticly where ALL maps are for NQ and etmain stuff etc... And i think there arent many complains about it because the players that play in PS#3 already have the maps that are needed for PS#3 and PS#3 almost never change the map routines they have.

I will ask my brother if he can download the maps that are needed for PS#3 and i will see if it will work.

i think u dont have to extract that file, just put it into ETmain, because .pk3 is already compressed format, so why is it needed to compress it some more with winzip.
btw when i download i get .pk3 not .zip

- What map?
- What page are you redirected to?
- All maps are stored in /etmain not in your mod folders

If you are redirected to a website this usually means the map running on the server is missing at the downloadspace.

Post the exact map name so Stephan can check the dlspace.

i got it with 3 maps so far this are the maps: MLB Hotchkiss, Supplydepot_2 and Cathedral.

those downloads work for me. so i think u have problem with ur winzip.

maybe but that .zip into ETmain, and see what happens. i recommend hosting for testing.

Hi there my problems are solved... I think the map .pk3 files got damaged or something... My brother placed he's maps on a memory stick and i placed them on my computer and i placed them into my Etmain map and deleted the old maps and now all maps work again on PS#3.

I want to thank you all for the information and suggestions you gave to me.
