i got kicked or that i steped on my teams mine and he died
i got very low hp i didnt see the mine.

do i rly need to be kicked?

i was online too..
and i think who kicked u(now i don't remeber who was) did that because players run on mines.. and he said : 'the other step on mine will kick'

And ardzeiks it's just a kick... nothing special no?

Well what i think about minestepping i think you should not be able to stand on them yourself... It is very silly... Like you dont remember where you placed your own landmine... That is just wierd if ya ask me...

Be kicked for mines stepping is not fair and against the rules of fun of PS server, isn't it ?

Even, if it happens often it's part of the game.

The most of the time it's a result of a bad "landing" or a pushing...

Let's hope this fact doesn't occur again...

say sorry after this kind of teamkilling? some players still don't know that the red and blue flag are the mines.. so i agree with Croft.. Sebby or Bow can you disable TK for mines?

what you said it's true but if mines TK is disabled, you lose reality from the game.

We can continue, someone will complain about grenades, mortar, panzer and weapons.

Then, why do the admins disabled friendly fire...

the reality of the game isnt effected so much if friendly mines are enabled (i think lot of ppl dont care about reality). So i think that friendly mines should be on (less whines).

Is double jump realistic?

I don't think it's a matter of reality or not. Just server settings. Maybe we can call a vote, and let the server owners to decide that, but for me it's simple: if someone want to play without being killed by friendly mines can simply go to PS 3.

Well , i noticed that there is more and more kicks from Szeryf for mines steping so i think a talk with him is necessary. Now my own opinion about that :There is two cases . intentional or accidently mines steping. In first case he s right to warn and kick if there is a need, it s an anti teamwork act and must be punished as TB or TK. For the second case,If you accidently run on mines and got a kick , well there is clearly an admin abuse. I don t know what exactly happened but i know that Sz usualy act fair, but we can all do mistakes and errors and Sz as all other admins is not an exception. I will have a talk with him about all that and also ask him to reply here.

Now about changing settings and have no team damage for mines, it s exactly like FF ON for me, it s part of the game, you just have to be watchful when you see mines, team damage is a part of the game and i m not realy agree to change this kind of settings.

@ardzeiks you are steping mines all the time, i havent kicked you for your first minestep, i followed you few times and i ve notice you just step on them and go further your not even trying to jump over them!

@sqr i wasnt drunk :twisted:

Some of you think its funny to ruin other mines just steping on them, on some maps i have around 15 tk only on mines, your not watching at all so im kicking but im not kicking for the first minestep and im always warning few times before first kick!
Im asking you do you want serwer with inteligent ppl playing like a team or bunch of noobs just running and shoting?
I wont say im sorry for those kicks, i wont say i made a mistake, START watching what you are doing and there will be no problems :evil:

ahhh and one more thing i never kicked anyone who said sorry!

this topic is kind of difficult.

i also like to be engi and plant some mines and i am often pissed when i read my teamkills because teammates dont take care.

well i never kicked someone for it because i never saw someone doing it intentional.

Szeryf is in one point right, that a medium experienced player should be able to take care and if someone destroys teammates minefield, a "Sorry" would be nice.

A kick sounds unfair first.. but hey. whats a kick .. a 2 min pause to think about what shit u did. and in case like szeryf told here i see no admin abuse.. so a little punishment for extreme silly behaviour isnt that bad... if deserved

Little difference i like to see if total newbies on server. I dont agree to kick newbies who dont know mines and/or dont get every written line on server.. or warns or anything...
so my advice is just a little more patience with players who dont know the map and/or the game.

And for a kick the admin should have the proof that the victim was not pushed by anyone or thrown through explosion. dont act only by console message.

Next thing is, admin got to punish those minesteps then for every mine on every team.. if admin only punishes friendly steps on own mines.. well.. then he is the only with advantage and in indirect way not fair play.

all in all we see its a difficult thing.. in that i ask all to be careful.. the players to jump around the mines and the admins to punish for it.

but we wont change anything to disable FF-minestepping like bow already said.
