instead of opening wolf et.exe and searching for server you can use the quick connect script by landser

http://prime-squadron.com/final/quickconnectstuff/

put it on desktop and doubleclick, it will connect you directly on PS4 ...

soon i will update it for PS1 - 9 and in english + other languages (this is for german only) but u can update it yourself!

only open it with wordpad + edit ips (for other server) + edit the path (for other languages like english ... because i used the german path:

Code: Select all: C:\Programme\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory

but english people propably got

Code: Select all: C:\Programs\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory

or something like that ...

Howto edit:

open the file.bat with editor / wordpad.

you will find something like:

Code: Select all: cd C:\Programme\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory et.exe +connect "85.25.137.76:27961"

explanation:

Code: Select all: cd

= going in dictionary (put path behind)

Code: Select all: C:\Programme\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory

= the path i choosed (you path is propably different ... it needs to be the path where et.exe is located)

Code: Select all: et.exe

= starting et.exe ...

Code: Select all: +connect "85.25.137.76:27961"

= ... and connecting on PS4 (you can change this ip with other server ips ... but only PS server ips work) :lol:

you still dont know how to change? - post it

EDIT: here are the german + english quickconnector tools for ALL PS servers (both only for normal installation):
english: C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory
german: C:\Programme\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory

ya i also used other tools (like ASE + HLSW) ... but i think these self created quickconnecter tools might be a help for people who dont use ASE or HLSW or other stuff ...

but my quick connector is realy 1 of the fastest

only a doubleclick and youre on server

Hm...
I have another way (almost the same) to connecting to PS servers.
On my desktop i have 9 shortcuts for ET.exe and in filepath i am changing from:

Code: Select all: "D:\Enemy Territory\ET.exe"

to:

Code: Select all: "D:\Enemy Territory\ET.exe" +connect 85.25.138.83:27960

And it works exactly the same like your programs (and I can have super-duper ET icon

)

I had to make for myself abit of changes..
to i got F: as main and C: as second..
So my cmd starts with F:\>

this is what i did:
first the path looked like this
F:\Documents and Settings\Axel\Desktop
So i cleaned the .bat file (with notepad)
and wrote:
-------------------------------------------------------------
C:
cd Games/ET
ET.exe +connect "88.198.62.41:27962" (to ps5)
-------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, thats my path, others might wanna do:

-------------------------------------------------------------
C:
cd Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory
ET.exe +connect "88.198.62.41:27962" (to ps5)
-------------------------------------------------------------

I made it

for linus users, I made a PS#2 quick connector

open a textpad, and copy these lines there, and save it was PS2.bat

Code: Select all: cd /usr/local/games/enemy-territory et +connect "88.198.62.41:27960"

have nice playing! I can make others too if U want

Linux ubuntu has no .exe for exsample on executable programs.
Its just plain name. For exsaple, Win: Virus.exe Linux: Virus

Maybe i'll make it available for PS. But it have to be stable version ('cause it's multithreading application - my first), add some options etc. etc. It can take a long time ;P month or more/less - depends of my laziness and freetime ;-)
