PS2 - Server config suggestions

Here is a new thread where you can post every config suggestions which you would like to see running on PS2.


To avoid this topic to become a complete mess, here are some rules in order to keep it clean :

- Before posting please check >>HERE<< (Server CVAR Categories section) to see if your setting (CVAR) proposition is possible. F.e. don't post : "Plz change the max health at respawn to 500 hp".

- If someone propose a setting which don't suit you, you can discuss about it here but please stay calm and gentle. You can of course post your approval. If the discussion about a setting become too long, feel free to open a dedicated topic.

- Some settings won't be changed !! It's the case for : punkbuster and friendly fire mainly.

just very simple make the configs like it was when ichi and you where server owner. they where nearly perfect.

some ideas

adrenalin

Adrenaline only boosts stamina, not health !

Ammo packs do not contain adrenaline needles ?

Health packs cannot be picked up while on adrenaline?


block


A player may easily block an airstrike by crouching, standing, or proning over the enemy's canister before the planes arrive !


constructibleXPsharing on?


doubleJump

Disable double jump?


medics

Medics can't pick up their own health packs to heal themselves while poisoned

Medics can use syringes to heal living teammates if the teammate's health is < 25% of their total HP, as an alternative to the tk/revive cycle


AttackInvul on?

(Removes a player's spawn shield if they start to attack before it wears off.)

realHead on?

(Head hitbox will follow the animation that is played, just like ETPro. This is HIGHLY recommended. )

slashkill

Player spawns with 0 charge bar after /kill. (selfkill)

havy wp on

Unlocked Weapons (everybody can pick up every weapon?)

very fast rocket?

mhh for the first XD

i know not all like it so what you think about it ?

32 Restore lost helmets with ammo packs

g_medics

1 Medics can't pick up their own health packs to heal themselves while poisoned (will not cure poison anyway)
4 Medics regenerate at 2/1 instead of 3/2


g_slashkill

2 Player spawns with 0 charge bar after /kill.
16 Disable /kill when player is poisoned.
64 Disables /kill while in a fight

about adre i think 1 stick is more then enough and it only should boost stamina. when you used your 1 adre and want a new one just search for a ammopack.

i think you should be able to reach for every class level 9 or you can start to think about to make the same for engis because with 9 they are able to plant 3 dynas.



@Buu
i must totaly support you about that HW discussion. we still have HWs in ps1+3+5 so disable them at ps2.

Lolll asking for cvars? now thats a first :lol:

The suggestions so far are almost identical to the current config already, except for the ridiculous amount of heavy weapons in some posts.

I agree that PS2 doesn't need them.

I agree to thomthoms post in all points except the DJ. Keep it on but if some maps feel like DJ ruins it, delete it from there (like you have done in supply depot)

thats its now only 1 adre stick is cool but a lot cooler would be when this 1 stick only boost stamina and not both like now

Well was just foolish from me to think that such a thread would bring a consensual answer about server settings.

So I'll close it from now. Anyway feel free to still open a thread when you judge that a parameter is wrongly setted/could be setted better.

Last thing : considering all your posts, I've setted jp_insanity to 128 aka "Everyone can pick up any weapon".
