Multiple Core settings for ET*

sorry guys, i remember old topic about it and searched on the internet but couldnt find it. my question:

i bought quad core pc, but i still havent good fps, i think i have to set that et has to work on one of the 4 cores. but where?

That link i posted in the topic Lurtz mentioned above pretty much describes the whole core affinity process.

I did:

- uninstaled et for a week
- cleaned my hdd from useless things :roll:
- run antivir
- update drivers for vieo card
- instaled et again

Result:

Yeah :D Hopefully it works again.
I have no clue only which step helped :P

Only one, but I think there is alot more I havent payed for full version :P
It is test version for 3 months with new computer and I bought computer in November, do you know any good and free antivir?

3 free scanners I would recommend;

- Avast (which I use myself)
- AVG (never used personally but offers solid protection as well from what ive read)
- Antivir (very thorough scanner)

And if you have some money i would go for NOD32 or Kapersky.

Woah, i got btw 3 virusses , their trainers for games :oops: (singleplayer hehe :P )

all are trojan virus and i put in virus vault, but what now ? :?: (AVG)

Are those last two for free? I use btw avast, free and working well imo.

But on-topic, I've heard about that problem. I don't know how, but you have to make sure that et uses every 4 cores. I think you can get more fps than 70, since you probably have a good vidcard + quadcore.
