the main console (the window on desktop) write this message: "couldn't reopen d:\pro.files\wolf...\etmain\pak0.pk3"
i have ubuntu linux and tried to copy this file from it to here but didnt work.

thx Wolf
well...i'm a little n00b on those things but it seems that what you downloaded from the "other" server was corrupted or not compatible with your PC OS....well the fastest solution sould be to reinstall the game...but uninstall it first so you can clear up everything wrong there is in your ETmain folder...I hope it works...
Yes, there is indeed a max on that. Cleaning up ET helps.
A good place to start is removing any .pk3 files from ETMain which are under 200kb, these are likely to be some random public server's campaign file and if ever needed again will be quickly redownloaded. You may also want to remove any old custom maps you no longer play. Can also be worth checking ETPro's folder for small .pk3 files, to remove 'watermark' images some server's use, but try to aviod removing any files that may be associated with custom maps you still play. In ETMain, do not delete pak0.pk3, pak1.pk3, pak2.pk3 or mp_bin.pk3. In ETPro folder, aviod deleting etpro-x_x_x.pk3. And of course, be extremely cautious if you decide to delete any non -.pk3 files.
