PS(1) lagging?

Hey,

it seems to me that the ps server(s) are lagging, but i don't know why. I play on ps1, and my ping is about 30, but sometimes it jumps up to 400-500-600... and down again...so my connection interrupts for a second or 2,3. This is really annoying

Some remarks:

- i've got a new pc, so its not a hardware problem, or a virus
- i've played on other servers (kernwaffe servers f.e) and i had no lag
- an admin told me its the rooter (cause 3 servers on 1 rooter or something like that)

So i don't know what else to say about this problem...i've been talking about it to bowdown for a while

/rate 25000
/maxpackets 100 (min60) standart 30

i think it will help

when it is not the problem you have a wlan router?

and when i get my new pc it lagged like hell 8800gtx (now is old 1)

i must update driver for vid card bec my game lagg all few seconds but i have then no high ping

what a vid card you have?

i know these cmd's and i use them

i have nVidia 8600GS

But its not the card 2 i think

i got exact same problem i tihnk,

vid card is not the problem,
commands sometimes work.
better memory isnt problem too

only for fast load map.

its the connection from the player , i got told

Calabria if necessary not problom in your pc access point !

try /rate 40000 or 25000 how say thom thom...!While always problom your net is suxD

Calabria, is that ping thing a new problem (1-2 weeks), cause i'm having 2-3 sec long strange lags too this week. Never had that before. And I haven't changed anything in my comp or conf.

i've had it for some weeks, but its quit new to me too, cause i never had these lags in the past (2-3sec connection interrupted yea)

i hope it will be fixed, and again i do /rate 40000 /snaps 40 /cl_maxpackets 100 and so on

@ monstr: no my net is not sux

i switched to vdsl2 so i have a very fast connection

Yep agree in this point.. normally I got sux ping (around 120-150 - that was normal for me in rush hour in da past). But from some weeks it gettin grow to amazin lvl 250-400.. its not funny rly.. believe me..

Dunno what is core of problem.. but some ppl tell that new version of nq is makin this shitto lags. Period of time is correct.
Maybe lets think from this side?

well, i don't know what it is 2, i played on ps1 again today (didnt connect on it for a while) and i c that nothing has changed

What i can add about , you tried all players alreay told and i don t know more about. As i told you via PM , i did n t noticed more or less lagz in PS1 this few past weeks, we have our usual lags when server is full and with some specific maps but nothing new ( i even feel that we have less lagz this past dayz). For me the problem is probably more from your connection and provider then the server.

Well, i haven't played much ET last week , but seems that my lags are gone. Probably some temp problem with my ISP. Hope you sort out ur problem Calabria.

yes i know bow, but i only lag on ps, not on other servers....pretty weird if it would be my connection/provider

what is the nq version running on ps?

@mike; do you also have these "connection interrupted" aka lag on other servers?

calabrian ahm 1 question what a router you use? a w-lan router? or your pc connecting with cabel?

EDIT: w-lan router make some times lags

try traceing in cmd and cut here what you got
