Interesting article about teamplay

Hi,

I found an article about teamplay and how you should play ET. It's a bit of a long read but it is worth it.

All what they are writing there is 100% true and it's not something new for team players.

I think the most important is to stop thinkin about yourself and start thinking about TEAM. Like they wrote: if u escort guy with obj, don't hasitate to take enemy fire on u if situation needs this. This can give him time to secure the obj.

One more important thing is to have 1 leader who tell u what to do and u ALWAYS listen him and support him (rly often it's eng, cos of his importance for obj).

For all that players they never try teamworking I advise u to try. It rly gives u a tons of fun and btw new good friends (like me and varoth and viduus, we become friends cos of joint actions). :wink:

it is all true.. but ET players play for the personal result, not for the objective.. i will want to play as the article says, but i want to do the best result.. i don't want to go in negative ( for example 18/25 ) because i must to escort the obj :oops:

.. i want to do the most positive result.. and i don't to do it if i think only to escort the objective and to win the map :oops:

that is not possible on pub servers (exept pro), because the priority on pub is stats, and in pro, scrims, wars etc. is to win the map. so the system is quite different imo.

Main goal of playing on pub servers is to have fun... Not to stress urself to do obj, or force ur team-mates to follow template of game play. This article is totally useless here, and doesn't shows nothing new, everything there is well known true :roll:

As author writes their server is "teamwork server" (however is it supposed to work.. can't be done on public servers...) PS are mainly fun servers ! ppl are enjoying their play here .. This article is just a spam bomb imo

You can still find 2 or 3 teammate to help you to do obj, no matter if the rest of your team are stupid little children trying to have most kill (yeah, you can have the best aim of server, the most kill number of server, and be the most stupid player because you lost map

).

Playing Obj is not a pain : You don't play for obj, you play to win the game.

so.. u play for objective..!

btw playing maps over and over again for years just for winning a map is kind a boring. players play cuz they wanna improve in something (ex. aim). and me for an example, dont feel like a hero when i do objective because it doesnt give any rush. This goes to pub servers, but for pro servers its contrariwise.

I didn't forgot that team play is fun, further more I prefer playing as engi .. not on public servers, but.. this article is not about me. It's about regular players of public servers...

...tell me how is it possible that always there is engi in team who have his escort to obj? For sure its possible only thanks to this wonderful article! And yeah, most of ppl who escort engis are doing it coz they want to have "the best aim of server, the most kill number of server".... are they? They are doing it ,as you said b4, .. for FUN.

Main goal in pub servers is to having fun, everyone likes other things in ET as every ppl are different. And whole this "team play" article is a bullsh.. for me coz even, "camper with mg42" have his part in obj progress. You can't just give a whole glory to the engi :oops:

Every one is helping in doing obj in the way he likes the most... in the way which he finds the most pleasure-full so

First, sorry to all if I struck souls with my "stupid" expression, this was really not the intention :oops:

I never said that everyone must play engi "Engi are real heero, not rambo medic" means "people capable of coordinated actions are good/skilled/heero".

And yes, if you are the "best" player on server and lost the map, you're definitively not the best on server (you lose, so you was unable to do thing to.. win). Most people on public server seems to forget this point (But for sure you can have the most kill and help your team to win, or have fun doing other thing than obj).

Oh, and have some imagination for the comic

the main coal isnt winning the map to everyone.

read edhell's post again: Main goal in pub servers is having fun, so it means that rambo medics have fun having spree, most kills etc. they dont care about obj. but their having fun. its one of the prime goals of ps to offer fun server, not just teamplay or just fragging. hope u got edhell's first post now, lolz.

but i think that once someone has 'seen the light' and has won a game in whitch they got pwnd very hard, and you won just because 2/3 players do a good teamjob, thats amazing, although i cant say it happens much to me :oops:
