:X my et keeps crashing

Always when i try connect pb enabled serv et will crash

mi_e aka theN44b has same problem

We both have f secure virusprogram (et worked good before i reinstalled f secure

)

did already :

-tryed update pb
-tryed reinstall et
-tryed do all possible things to enable et in f secure

So what to do ?

i have had same problem about 4day now

i think that problem is of f-secure program...have you soon made virus scan??
i made it four day ago and from that it havent allowed to play pb servers...

if you find problem can you say it to me....

I dont think so , i think the problem is in f-secure we all 3 have it+ my et worked fine with avast

ok now im thinking few things....
it could maybe be because of newest f-secure update...
for that we cant do anything so i thought that i should send some feedback to their site and tell us problem...
or on their site read that problem can maybe solve if you reinstall f-secure...

btw epa do you have xfire ???

You didn't mention that in your own topic w0lf, or did you just figured it out?

You could try this stock pbcl.dll file and replace your current file.

I don't know anything about f-secure but every anti-virus tool should offer the possibility to exclude specific files. You could try excluding ET.exe from active scanning. If that doesn't work, exclude PnkBstrB.exe in your /pb folder as well.

no that pbcl.dll doesnt help anything i tried it and i was allowed to play about 2min and same happened again :S

Well it is firewall build in but i dont understand this problem becouse there is no any mark that any et or pb things would be blocked.

Well i think its f secure bug nothing else :X

i did burn my f secure to hell and now i can play again becouse i dont have f secure atm but i think this problem need to be solved becouse many other ppl has same problem and i will install f secure back becouse most stupid thing wich i wont tell ya

sorry for double post but this only way to get you to check this post...

i posted today complaint to f-secure technical support and now im waiting answer, but i think that they start fixing it...

same kind problem have on WOW too, f-secure blocked wow.exe file and after that when f-secure realised that they fixed it...

so now just waiting...

sorry for triple post but i have found kind a solve for this problem...

well for english:
Go to control panel - administrave tools - service - and close f-secure gatekeeper handler...

for finnish:
elikkÃ¤ aukaise ohjauspaneeli - vaihda perinteiseen nÃ¤kymÃ¤Ã¤n - valvontatyÃ¶kalut - palvelut - ja sit sulje kkaikki f-secure jutut...

and do that allways when you want to play and then when you have stop playing switch those back to ON !!!

sometimes i can play without crash all day , but sometimes its crash 5 times a day , i have played ET with 4 different computers in 5 years ,and ET will keep crashing when ever he want and its ineluctable

u have to download other ETded.exe if i remember right
i had the same problem too then i downloaded new etded.exe and its works, don't remeber what etded.exe i downloaded but i can upload it if i get my computer back

dunno if that helps coz i dont remember what situation i had it was more then 3 years ago ;P (maybe i lie coz i dont remeber what problem i had)

this et crashing is not problem for me ! this et crash sometime just piss me off very much if i have very good score
sometimes et crash sometimes pc overhead and restart sometimes i can play more then week without crashing
