Hi im chimera aka desktopicon
and i got kicked because i had a discussion about akimbo's:

so i killed the guy named eyes only with akimbo and he was saying some things about server settings and stuff you are not allowed to change it... etc
but i cant change it and i think its not a reason to kick me because i am a admin on a server myself and i play et for 7 years so they shouldnt come up with this stuff.

ahhm i try to tell you what he mean with server settings

on ps1 the server is so configurate that you cant use as a medic 2 Pistols

when you change your class with a script then you have 2 Pistols.

this rule is only on ps1 and it is becouse the player want this.

so change your class with the Limbo menÃ¼ and dont use scripts on this server.

be happy that bowdown not was around ^^

btw. dont talk over admin abuse becouse a kick .....

Well Thomy , to be honest since now i pretty never had to kick somebody for this, i simply warn the player and a simple discussion and explination is enough, players are enough wise to understand and respect this PS1 particularity since now :wink:

So, i wont say that it was an "abuse" but indeed a bit hrash, but in the other way, tell me as admin how you do when sombody connect your server and don t respect server rules and settings? Sure it s the admin duty to explain you reaons of the warn and also explain you facts but you can understand that admins can t let you playin with something givin you real advantage when all other players can t have it :wink:

. And, yes you can change it, simply use the classic Limbo to choose your class instead of using script or binds :wink:

I count rtcw as wolfenstein to and its since 2001.

I wouldnt care if someone would kill me with this...
and its not like a cvar so you would get kicked by punkbuster
if it is turn pb on.

Its a strange 'rule' I agree, we had this discussion before and still think that you shouldn't blame a player for the limitations/bugs of a mod.

why this kick?
i told you 2 times on a friendly way to change it because that are server settings that medics have only 1 pistol.
you told me in pm something like hahaha i dont did something. i will never get banned for it.
after is asked you sure? and that this are simply server settings.
you still keep laughing with lol so i had the feeling to show you thats nothing to laugh because its serious.

i never seen it as difficult to explain it to our players. had it a few times that i simply told it to players when i was undercover as they understand it. i also saw it sometimes that normal players explained it to someone and they understand.
so what i had to expect from a regular player with lvl4?
