Need help please !!!

Hey buddies !!!! What's up ?!

I'm decided to play again....i don't know for how long i'm gone but it's like ages

Anyway...

I have reinstale ET (keeping my ETKey and CFG), but I can't connect anymore on all PS servers. If I try a random server, it works.
I have updated pb, set the patch 2.60 + 2.60b and let all settings by default (without ETKey of CFG or maps or even mods)

When i want to connect, the download starts but quickly ends after 30 seconds or so to direct me to the PS index shuting down ET. However, cl_allowdownload 1 is set, and in the menu, everything related to the download is set "yes".

So, I really don't know what to do and that's why any help would be welcome....well if you want to see me again lol

to that problem...
is those "random" servers punkbuster servers?

and is /cl_autodownload 1 same as what you use (/cl_allowdownload 1)

Btw cl_autodownload is not an available command

Im also gettin redirected to a website sometimes, dont know why some files cant be downloaded. But if you download the file (e.g. a map) manually from that index page and put it in the proper directory (noquarter), it should work.

But this, of course, is only helpfull if only a few files are missing. Didnt come up with another way yet... :roll:

Edit:
"/cl_autodownload 1" should work.

Best thing to do is reinstall again and forget your etkey for now my oppion,

Remember if u use vista u need to run wolfenstein as administrator.
and for a other option look if your firewall or other program not blocking your way of downloading stuff i know other servers can and sound stupid but atleast i should try that.

and if wont then a full reinstall of et also needed but then stop adding your config files or whatever u save cause it can be crapy now.
and mabye thats why it wont work to join us.

I just asked because I had that problem on PS2 when I had a pk3 file on there that wasnt on the mainserver folder too. but i guess that cant be the problem if its this case.

If you tried random servers and download wroks its server side bug for me. :roll:

(it happend few? times on PS2 when new packets wasnt on DL server... fast explain: you are downloading not from server to which you are connecting to not cause lags.. nvm Warren should understand me

Can you see/read what file it's trying to download, is it always the same one? What happens if you try to connect to PS4? What happens if you create a 'noquarter' folder in your ET installation folder and re-connect?

Are you sure you installed the patches correctly, were those random servers running 2.60(b) as well?

There have been no changes there. Making sure that every map/pack is ready for download is the responsibility of the server owner

Damn, I have reinstale a second time but still.. I can't connect!

About the 2.60b patch I copied the two .exe in the ET folder.

The file which is downloading is: no quarter/ps2/sounds_textures.pk3
If this one ends, the file named z-menu/ps (or something like this) starts and after some seconds, i'm direct to the index.
When i go check my ET folder, i can see the noquarter folder with the first pk3 file in it.
But if i try to connect me again, the same first file is downloading again and the same problem occures.
I have try to erase the noquarter folder and creat a new empty one but it fails either.

I'm lost !

dunno if its z_final_ps_menu_nq.pk3 or z_final_ps_menu_nq_v2.pk3 , but try downloading them here:
z_final_ps_menu_nq.pk3
z_final_ps_menu_nq_v2.pk3

and put them manual into your noquarter folder!

!Problem solved

The problem comes from downloads indeed. Missing files download to 98% and then stop and direct me to the index...
I do it manually as u said and it works. I some days, i'll have all maps it will be easier.

BTW, dowloads on the index all fail, and i'm quite sure it's not a problem from me cause if I download maps from etmap.de there's no problem.
So if someone can check if downloads of the index work good....

And I'm quite sure there's nothing wrong with the downloads

Just for your sake, I removed my entire 'noquarter' folder and connected to PS2 without any problems, of course it took some time to download the NQ files but no hickups whatsoever.

By re-installing twice you meant a complete re-install without any mod folders and custom maps in your etmain folder?

Yep that's what I did, and I did like this the first time too...

Anyway, the problem really comes from the index, I can't download maps or whatever from there, in-game or directly on the index

I have to do it by wolfmap.de and it works good.
