hi

i cant play ET any more..
couse i have this

i update my videocard and PC...wont helped..and this is only the "better picture"
couse if i try to shot my monitoris going to orange..i see a tank tought a wall and the packets too...if i open my console it says WARNING: NULL poly shader

what a hell is it?

btw i have other problem too...in middle of all ym game my VPU Recover is says warning but dunno what i need to do

i have it too, but not that mcuh. I only have a small black box on the head of every player, it looks like some files are missing. Holly try to delete your autoexec.cfg and watch what happens. Maybe its cause you have some numbers in it the new etpub cant handle .

Well i searched on google... Seems like it's something with quake :S :P

Warning: RE_Add Poly To Scene: Null Shader

Info:
After doing a compile I tried to run the new map and half my textures were missing. In the console I was getting this message repeatedly:

Warning RE_Add Poly To Scene: Null Shader

Anyone know what I need to do to fix this? I did not do many changes since my last compile. Mostly added some clip textures to a few spots and made a few small new areas. [Pennywise]


Fix:
SOF2 may be using an older version of the compiling software. As a part of the Team Arena code, id redid the way that shaders are loaded. Broken shaders were treated as bad script code and broke the game and had to be fixed or removed if they were in the user's game folder.

You may have a broken shader in some script in a pak file. You may have written a bad shader yourself that the SOF2 compile was overlooking. Heck, it may even be a bad shader inside SOF2.

The method is to remove all extra content from your game folder and try to compile. If it works, then add in the files you most want back and try again. Repeat until the compile breaks. The most recently added file is your culprit. [Posted on MapCenter - answered by PJ]


So it seems like you have to remove the custom .pk3 files in your game folder? (In etpub if it's only there you get the error)

first a bit more information;
- did u reinstall et already?
- what videocard do u have?
- what drivers did you tried?
- do you have the problem in other games?

Did u download some custom maps recently? Perhaps new custom maps
or double versions of the same map? Or some strange mods? try to delete them first.

@ ammz
it has indeed something to do with the quake engine but the problem
happends faster with ati cards (for some reason)

Holly create a temp map and start moving pk3 files into it (begin with the custom files)
During the moving start ET to see if its fixed so you can identify the wrong
pk3 file

no it was not the ET problem..i reinstalled it..prob still
it happens after my videocard update (asus extreme x600XT)
i dont download anything ..i just updated..couse i have the VPU Recover problem..its fxed ( i think but not sure)
but now all my ET is orange...NFSU too :/

edit: problem fixed i delete my all etmain map..i have no maps now xD but the good thing...my prob fixed i see again a game 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
