et minimizer

hey there,
got an annoying problem with the minimizer

everytime i use it and switch back into game my gamma setting has changed -- > from the maximum to less than half
so everytime i minimize and reopen i have to change my gamma settings before i can play again

any1 can help me out ? :O

I have same problem if I press capslock or scroll lock or numberlock. So if I try to check xfire post my brightness goes 0 (I have to press scrl lk + x) and then I have to set it back to up.

i have same prob also, and when i close et from windows the gamma stays too bright and only restart fixes it.

thx, but i meant the gamma setinngs in et not windows and if i got it right this one just resets windows' gamma stuff, doesnt it?

i think you can make a bind to set the gamma right with one press off the button, dunno the command for gamma (= brightness, right?) but that could save you the trouble of goiing to the celibrate brightness and moving the thingie. even if it stands completely to the right, move it a bit to the left and back to the right and it should go back to the setting it used to be.

Code: Select all: bind "p" "r_gamma 1.3; wait 10; r_gamma 1.7"

You need to use two values because when ET is minimized and restored it still uses the old gamma value. So you have to set it to another value and then back. The wait command must be between them.. Tried it without waiting and it did not work.

Yeah use the script, or just use setting r_ignorehwgamma 1, then the gamma stays.
