No sound on Ubuntu 12.04 :(
Hey chaps,
I don't manage to get the sound working. It really screws my pleasure when I play, which is also why I am not so often online lately.
I tried most things you can find on the internet, but nothing yet worked. Is there someone who has experienced this as well?
I run ubuntu 12.04 LTS, pulse audio
Egg

Oops, I am a bit tired.
Yes, I tried practically everything you can find online, including the you mentioned
I have a clue of what the problem might be, but I don't know how to solve it . Look at the error in the last line of the code.
- Code: Select all

This is just a wild guess, but your sdl-sound is installed into tmp, or Temporary Files?
I quickly checked the installation and found this following line (probably out of context): /path_to/et/et-sdl-sound.so, which means your sdl-sound.so should be installed into your ET folder, not tmp.

Wheee I fixed it by installing et again from here:

Watch out with previous installations, your /usr/local/bin/et spoils this installation. Remove/rename it .
